What study is required to be a Chiropractor?

Becoming a registered chiropractor in Australia requires a significant amount of education and training. Individuals must complete a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree in chiropractic, and then register with the Chiropractic Board of Australia. They must also meet several other requirements such as continuing education. A chiropractic education never ends throughout your professional career.
Is Chiropractic Safe?
Chiropractic care has a very low risk. Chiropractors use a significant amount of skill and not much force or strength to perform the specific treatment. The chiropractic adjustment is done by the chiropractors’ hands delivering a gentle, fast and highly accurate thrust. Restoring better spinal function can help improve movement, vitality, and endurance.
Can I still have Chiropractic after surgery?
All treatment given is considered with all information provided. Some treatment is adapted according to previous history/surgery or age. Many of our patients have had treatment even after spinal surgery.
What is the ‘cracking sound’ in a Chiropractic adjustment?
This ‘crack’ is just the release of pressure from your joint. That is why your joints that are restricted may feel looser after this noise occurs.
Can babies have chiropractic care?
Of course. We love treating babies. Treatment is adapted for each individual and is usually very gentle and often the baby can sleep through the treatment. Drs Catriona and Lucinda have completed over 900 hours of postgraduate chiropractic paediatric training.
Where can I park?
We have 2 dedicated parking spaces on the property which can be accessed from Baroona Road. There are also plenty of street parks in the area.
