Chiropractic care

Chiropractors in Australia are nationally registered and regulated healthcare professionals with 5 years of university education.

Chiropractic is a simple modality of treatment concerned with the diagnosis, management and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system; this includes the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and joint motion

In summary, chiropractors focus on the detection and correction of restricted spinal function and its subsequent effect on how the nervous system controls and coordinates the body.

Australian chiropractors are highly qualified healthcare professionals who study at university for a minimum of five years. On graduating from university Chiropractors are then registered with the Chiropractic Board of Australia (CBA) which is under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Chiropractors provide patient-centred care and use shared decision making through good communication strategies which are tailored to the needs and preferences of the patient. They are educated to modify spinal manual therapy to suit the age and presenting condition of a patient (from babies to the aged).

We want you to feel welcome from your first moment of contact. Our team will do all they can to ensure your visit with us is a pleasant experience.

Each person’s case is unique. Your chiropractor will need to conduct a thorough history and hands on physical examination in order to determine if we can help you which may include mobility testing, palpation of the areas of concern along with any appropriate orthopaedic/neurological testing.

This information is gathered at your initial consultation and is used to formulate a personalised solution to your problem. If you have any scans, reports or referrals from other health care providers please bring these along.
